$6.00
Once & Future #9
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Art/Cover: Dan Mora — Colors: Tamra Bonvillain
Condition: pre-owned, light wear, good shape
A breathtakingly dark and atmospheric cover of extraordinary craft! A human heart rendered in grotesque, beautiful detail fills the lower centre of the frame — raw and glistening — red and blue arteries and veins trailing outward like roots — the entire mass cracked and shattered — jagged fragments of something crystalline or mirror-like breaking away in all directions — the tendrils of vascular tissue climbing upward into the pitch-black background — and from the upper right — a pale grey skull looms in partial shadow — hollow eye sockets fixed on the broken heart below. Deep crimson, cold blue, and total black throughout. Haunting, poetic, and utterly masterful from Dan Mora.
A great pick for Once & Future run builders, Dan Mora art collectors, BOOM! Studios fans, and anyone who loves a visually stunning, literary horror cover.
