A breathtaking deep-space horror cover that fuses the cosmic grandeur of the Silver Surfer universe with the visceral terror of Carnage — rendered in Paulo’s richly detailed and dynamic linework! The composition is vast and disorienting — set in the deep void of space — dark asteroid fields and tumbling rocks scattered across the upper right — a dramatic solar eclipse burning at the upper right with a glowing corona — and a dark planetary body looming at the lower right. Dominating the entire frame: Carnage in full cosmic form — an enormous, writhing mass of symbiote flesh — deep crimson red — the musculature grotesquely overdeveloped and riddled with the characteristic Carnage web-crack veining pattern across every surface. The figure surges forward from the left side of the frame in a low crouching charge — one massive arm extended downward and gripping a rock or surface — the other arm raised and crackling with bright energy bursts at the knuckles — the body a churning mass of symbiote tendrils and exposed muscle. The face: a wide-mouthed Carnage grimace — enormous jagged teeth — hollow white eyes blazing — symbiote tendrils whipping outward from the head and shoulders. Streaks of white energy and impact lines radiate from both sides of the figure. At the lower left: the CARNAGE FOREVER corner stamp in dark red. SILVER SURFER REBIRTH masthead in warm gold-cream lettering at the top. Issue 3 at the upper left. Paulo / Russell © 15 signature at the lower right.
A great pick for Silver Surfer run collectors, Carnage enthusiasts, and cosmic horror Marvel cover fans. Carnage Forever tie-in. Light wear, good shape.
