A faithful facsimile reproduction of one of Marvel’s most important and collectible first issues — the 1962 debut of the Incredible Hulk! Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko’s iconic original cover layout faithfully reproduced — instantly recognisable and historically significant. The composition is set against a deep night-blue background — a dark, moody urban scene with shadowy industrial structures at the lower left. Dominating the upper half of the cover: the original grey Hulk — not yet the iconic green — rendered in Kirby’s rough, powerful early style — enormous and lumbering — the body hunched forward — massive arms swinging low at his sides — the face thick-featured and brutish — a dark grey-blue skin tone. Standing in front of the Hulk in the lower centre: Bruce Banner — in a white lab coat — blue tie — red trousers — glasses — expression dazed and alarmed. At the lower right: two small figures — a woman in a yellow dress and a soldier in a green uniform — both looking upward in shock. Classic silver age speech bubble callouts in the original layout: FANTASY AS YOU LIKE IT! at the upper left in a starburst box — THE STRANGEST MAN OF ALL TIME!! in the banner at the upper centre — IS HE MAN OR MONSTER OR… IS HE BOTH in the round callout at the upper right. The bold THE INCREDIBLE HULK masthead in massive yellow block lettering. MC corner box. Issue 1 and MAY date. ALL AGES — $3.99 US at the lower left. Marvel logo at the upper right. A cornerstone of Marvel history.

An essential facsimile for Hulk run collectors, silver age enthusiasts, and fans of Marvel’s foundational first issues. The grey Hulk original — before he turned green. Light wear, good shape.
