One of the most atmospheric and iconic horror covers in Marvel’s history — faithfully reproduced in this facsimile edition! Dracula dominates the centre of the frame — tall and commanding — dressed in a crisp white shirt and black suit — a sweeping deep red-lined black cape billowing behind him — his mouth open wide in a vicious snarl — fangs bared — pale face contorted with malevolence — dark sunken eyes gleaming — slicked black hair — and cradled in his arms: a limp unconscious blonde woman — long golden hair cascading downward — green dress — gold bangles at her wrists — her neck exposed and vulnerable. Behind them: a desolate moonlit swamp landscape — a large pale full moon at the upper left — gnarled dead black trees dripping with moss — dark still water pooling around Dracula’s feet — rocky outcroppings and twisted roots at the edges — and in the far distance: the silhouette of a dark castle on a hill. The entire scene bathed in cool blue-grey shadow with deep blacks. THE TOMB OF DRACULA in massive bat-winged yellow-gold gothic lettering blazes across the red masthead banner. DRACULA LIVES! in red above. NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE! in bold yellow at the bottom. A timeless horror masterpiece.
A perfect Halloween shelf centrepiece and a cornerstone of Marvel horror history. Great for Tomb of Dracula fans, Marvel horror collectors, and horror comic enthusiasts. Facsimile edition. Light wear, good shape.
