Super-Sized Annual — “The Evolutionary War” crossover
Guest-Starring: The X-Babies!!!
Condition: pre-owned, light wear consistent with age
A dense, energetically composed bronze age annual cover packed wall-to-wall with Marvel mutant mayhem! The composition is dominated by a massive circular vortex or portal at the centre of the frame — rendered in warm yellow and brown tones with a jagged energised border — and bursting outward from within it: the full X-Men roster in a dynamic charging formation. In the circular vortex: Wolverine in his classic brown and tan costume — claws extended at the fore — Colossus in full steel form charging behind him — Storm in white costume — Dazzler in blue — Psylocke in purple — Havok with concentric energy rings — and Longshot and others filling the background — all rushing outward toward the viewer in a chaotic surge. Looming behind the vortex at the upper left: the massive pink and grey figure of the High Evolutionary — imposing and cosmic — his armour glowing with blue-patterned detail. At the upper right: a large grey and purple Sentinel robot — one arm raised — yellow eye glowing — flanked by machinery and pipes. At the lower right: a small yellow callout box — GUEST-STARRING THE X-BABIES!!!! The masthead in the classic bold red-and-blue X-Men font. THE EVOLUTIONARY WAR in yellow banner lettering below. CCA stamp at the upper right. A busy, colourful, and exciting late-80s X-Men annual.
A great pick for Uncanny X-Men run collectors, Evolutionary War crossover hunters, X-Babies fans, and 1980s Marvel annual enthusiasts. Light wear consistent with age.
