A hauntingly beautiful, intimately rendered 1:15 ratio virgin edition cover drawn entirely in pencil and ink — no colours, no logos, no title text — just raw expressive linework at its absolute finest! Vampirella fills the frame from the shoulders up — a close, almost confrontational composition — long flowing blonde-white hair falling loosely around her shoulders and behind her — rendered in sweeping, delicate pencil lines with intricate layered shading — her face tilted slightly upward — heavy-lidded dark eyes half-closed — lips slightly parted — and from her mouth: a thin dark trail of blood — a single red-black stream running down her chin and neck — splitting into two channels as it reaches her chest and continues downward — the blood the only truly dark element against the warm cream tones of the page. Her outfit visible at the lower edge — deep open neckline — the costume suggested in soft graphite shadow. The Dynamite ‘50’ anniversary emblem in black at the upper right. Signed in the lower right corner. An extraordinary collector’s piece.
A great pick for Vampirella collectors, Dynamite Entertainment variant hunters, virgin cover enthusiasts, and horror art connoisseurs. Scarce 1:15 ratio virgin edition. Signed. Light wear, good shape.
