A strikingly elegant, fashion-forward cover that doubles as a key issue — the first cover appearance of Star! Captain Marvel stands in a commanding three-quarter pose that fills the right two-thirds of the cover — body angled slightly away — facing left with chin raised and eyes looking outward with cool confidence — her iconic blonde hair flowing loosely down her back — dressed in a sweeping full-length white and deep red costume — a bold eight-pointed star emblem centred at her chest — gold trim at the gauntlet cuffs and along the hem of the long cape-like coat that flows dramatically outward and downward behind her — the entire costume rendered in Carmen Carnero’s characteristically clean, precise linework with rich flat colour. The background: warm pale gold-beige — simple and uncluttered — letting the figure breathe. Captain Marvel & Star! in elegant dark script at the upper left. CAPTAIN MARVEL in the bold red and gold star-badged masthead across the top. A sophisticated and collectible key issue cover.

A must-have for Captain Marvel run collectors, Kelly Thompson era fans, and key issue hunters. Second printing of this in-demand key. Bonus Digital Edition. Light wear, good shape.
