A brilliantly composed homage cover paying tribute to the classic Marvel Comics Group bronze-age layout — bold yellow and blue diagonal banner across the top — chunky vintage corner box — the iconic CHILDREN OF THE BLACK SUN logo blazing in oversized red italic lettering across the centre — a group of terrified modern-day people reacting in horror from above — staring down into a circular dimensional portal below — inside which four characters charge forward at full speed through radiating burst lines — a man in black leading the charge pointing forward — a red-haired woman in a crimson dress — a woman in yellow — and a crouching figure behind them — “DEADLY GENESIS!” scroll blazing at the bottom left. Clever, fun, and beautifully executed.
A great pick for indie comics fans, ABLAZE collectors, and anyone who loves a sharp bronze-age homage cover.
