A kinetic, beautifully choreographed lightsaber duel cover packed with High Republic energy! Two combatants clash in fierce battle across an alien landscape — in the lower half of the frame: a young Jedi in a deep olive-green hooded robe — dark complexion — body low and forward-lunging — gripping a glowing white-blue lightsaber in both hands — the blade sweeping upward in a wide defensive arc — and above: plunging down from the upper left — a tall armoured figure in white robes and a deep blue hooded cloak — a grotesque alien face beneath the hood — yellow eyes — scaled green-gold skin — jagged fangs — one arm raised with a second white-blue lightsaber driving downward — the other hand reaching with a clawed gauntlet — dark red alien foliage and mossy rocks filling the background — This Issue: Jedi vs. Jedi callout box at the centre left. The Star Wars: The High Republic masthead in the gold ornate box at the top. Explosive and dramatic.
A great pick for High Republic era collectors, Star Wars Marvel completists, and fans of the new era of Star Wars storytelling. Third printing of this key first issue. Bonus Digital Edition. Light wear, good shape.
