Disney crossover — Silver Age homage style
“What If… Peg Leg Pete Was the God of Mischief?”
Condition: pre-owned, light wear, good shape — Homage copy
An absolutely irresistible, nostalgia-drenched Disney x Marvel 60th Anniversary crossover variant rendered in perfect silver-age style! The classic Avengers #1 layout is lovingly recreated — bold red banner header with THE AVENGERS in massive white block letters — character headshots of Thor, Ant-Man, Hulk, and Iron Man in the corner boxes — but every hero reimagined as a Disney character: Mickey Mouse as Ant-Man — Goofy as Thor in full red cape and Asgardian armour — a green Disney creature as the Hulk — a classic yellow armoured figure as Iron Man — and looming at the left: the massive arm and fist of Peg Leg Pete as Loki reaching into the frame — speech bubbles flying: “The Avengers… Bah! I’ll destroy you all!” and “Loki! Prepare for battle!” — the Wasp tiny at the lower centre — “SUPER-HEROES! SUPER-VILLAINS! SUPER-THRILLS! Presented in the Fabulous Marvel Manner!” The 60 Years badge at the upper right. Completely joyful and meticulously crafted.
A perfect companion to our Donald Duck Ms. Marvel and Minnie Mouse Captain Marvel Disney variants. A great pick for Avengers collectors, Disney variant hunters, and silver-age homage cover lovers. Light wear, good shape.
