A colossal, awe-inspiring debut cover rendered in the grand tradition of classic Marvel superhero painting! Thor fills the entire frame from corner to corner — massive and mythic — his silver and blue armour gleaming with reflected light — the surface textured and battle-worn — a great round medallion at his chest — both fists raised and clenched before him — veins and musculature visible through the silver gauntlets — his face partially obscured beneath the winged helmet — jaw set and teeth bared in raw fury — long dark auburn hair whipping out behind him — and behind the figure: a deep stormy blue and teal sky — a vast billowing red cape sweeping outward to the left and behind — dramatic and explosive. THE IMMORTAL THOR blazes in massive cracked yellow-gold lettering at the top. The Who Are the Gods? tagline and Marvel Remembers: John Romita tribute banner at the lower left. A defining first issue.
A great pick for Thor collectors, Al Ewing fans, and anyone who loves a powerfully rendered classic-style Marvel debut cover. John Romita tribute edition. Bonus Digital Edition. Light wear, good shape.
